Dhungalla Kaiella Garradah for 3 Rivers Festival

Kaiela Arts artists Jack Anselmi, Angie Russi, Troy Firebrace and Tammy-Lee Atkinson, alongside artists Earl Handy, Aunty Vera Cooper and Aunty Jenny Mitchell will be creating  processional sculptures and a 16 metre long rainbow serpent for the Dhungalla Kaiella Garradah on the 25 November at the 3 Rivers Festival in Echuca.

Dhungalla Kaiella Garradha (Murray & Goulburn Rivers Dance Ceremony) will be lead by Yorta-Yorta Traditional Owners Narjic Day-Burns, Jida Murray-Gulpilil, Sissy Cooper, Graham Briggs, Troy Lovett, Dhungalla dance group (Shepparton) Coree Thorpe and Alister Thorpe.

The ceremony will also feature a cultural exchange with First Nations dancers from North America, Wiradjuri dance group Dinawan Garrabari Dance Group and Gunditjmara dance group Koondoom Yarkeen.

The 3 Rivers Festival is a community event in Echuca/Moama engaging people through art, sport, music and Aboriginal Culture.
