When I look at the Dungala (Murray River) I feel sad at the thought of how it used to be, and how it is now. A few comments have been made over the years, especially regarding the Barmah Forest, where some visitors to the area disrespect it. As a small child, my elders taught me right from wrong when it comes to the land, birds and animals. ‘Always have respect and protect them’, this is not happening today.
