Outside of her work with Kaiela Arts, Steph has a background in Geography, a field she is passionate about for its multidisciplinary approach to science. This method of problem solving resembles a First Nations scientific framework, which embodies a holistic way of seeing and doing to enable the health of Country, People, Flora, and Fauna. Steph is always seeking new ways to make a positive impact within her community.

By embracing her culture as a First Nations woman and using her background in science. Steph aims to collaborate with local First Nations artists, and knowledge holders, to help deliver a fully immersive cultural experience to Kaiela Dungala community members through Kaiela Arts cultural workshops and programs.
