Anita is the Art Centre Manager at Kaiela Arts, bringing over 30 years’ experience across the arts sector in not-for-profit, local government, environmental and community organisations.
A creative producer and arts facilitator, she has worked locally and internationally, often in intercultural and community-engaged contexts, collaborating with First Nations and diverse communities across Victoria. Anita’s work spans organisational development, cultural programming, project management, and creative production. Her leadership is grounded in equity, self-determination, sustainability and human rights, with a deep belief in the transformative power of the arts to create joy, resistance, political dialogue and decolonial change.
Based on Yorta Yorta Country since 2011, Anita has held roles with Multicultural Arts Victoria, Winton Wetlands, Greater Shepparton City Council, and others. She has also worked as an independent creative and consultant and has been part of the Kaiela Arts team for the past three years. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Arts and Cultural Management (Deakin University) and an Associate Diploma of Music (Piano).
Community and collaboration are at the heart of Anita’s practice, with a strong focus on supporting more equitable, sustainable outcomes for creatives and their communities.
