We are buzzed with our first-time collaboration with Tahnee Edwards (Yorta Yorta and Taungurung), the creative behind popular First Nations clothing label, Gammin Threads. 

Kaiela Arts artist Ally Knight (Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung and Kamilaroi) worked with Tahnee to create a deadly new T-shirt design featuring the Yorta Yorta people’s totem, Bayadherra (the long neck turtle) – a proud celebration of Yorta Yorta culture, Country and identity. 

Ally says , “The turtle’s shape is inspired by Kaiela Arts’ popular animal clay kits that we are well known for. The woven design on the shell reflects my craft practice and weaving business, Mulana Earth.”
