Bangerang Elder, Monica Phillips was born in Melbourne and has lived in Victoria/Goulburn Valley all her life.

Monica is one of 14 children and loves drawing, painting and basket weaving. She also make quilts, pillows, baby blankets and jewellery – her echidna quill earrings are very sort after.

Recently Monica exhibited a Kangaroo skin with designs that were burnt onto the surface as part of the Who We Are exhibition at Kaiela Arts.
