DESIGN ROOTS is a project by Kaiela Arts, Shepparton that sees four Indigenous artists produce new work based on ancient Dreamings. As research the four artists visited the collections of the Koori Heritage Trust and Museum of Victoria. Their personal responses were emotional and their artistic responses are what we see in DESIGN ROOTS.

As the name implies DESIGN ROOTS is all about looking at the traditions in art usage and strengthening the art practices of these outstanding artists. The project also looks forward. Each artist has contributed a design element to a set of beautiful linen cushions made by Spacecraft.
