‘How Aboriginal are you?’ Pt.1
“How Aboriginal are you?”
Murrawa (wind) blows through my salon bleached hair and I instantly know how to track you in the birramal (bush).
A guguburra (kookaburra) riding a dinawan (emu) burst into the room.
Eucalypts and old man weed sprout at my feet.
“Heaps” I say, standing on one leg. A kangaroo starts playing yidaki (didgeridoo).
