The Platypus (ornithorhynchus anatinus) semi-aquatic egg laying mammal classified as near-threatened- this is because of habitat destruction. Fresh water nocturnal, and heads back to its burrow which it builds in banks of water ways. Males have venomous spurs. Platypus glow under UV light- why they do that? no idea.
