-The Kangaroos are designed for our fragile landscape. I grew up with stories from my nan hunting kangaroo as a young child. Bare foot, dogs tied up til hungry, dogs let off and kids chased the dogs until they got a roo. it was important not to be too far behind or not much was left. My favourte part is the tail, like eating lamb shank. Kangaroos are beautiful and valuable in so many ways. i am painting things because of the beauty i see in them. i paint because i feel a responsibility to leave things better than i found hem for our future generations. Art can tell a story in a different way to words. I am a proud Barkindji/WambaWamba/YortaYorta artist.
