The use of warm toned colours – red, yellow, orange, pink, gold, etc, communicates that warm feeling and is intended to make viewers feel that burning of connection. At the bottom of the canvas there is a depiction of four people gathered together, this symbolises family meeting together at the end of each day.

Dulgubarra Yidinji
Gifted the name Muguy, meaning constant in her traditional language, Mya is always seeking to further her cultural knowledge.
Mya was born and raised in Greater Shepparton and holds a deep respect for the Country of the Yorta Yorta and Bangerang peoples as it carries many of her childhood memories.
As a Dulguburra Yidinji woman, she has a strong connection to her mother’s Country, the rainforest in and around the crater lakes of the tablelands, inland of Gimuy (Cairns).
A contemporary artist across various mediums, Mya enjoys experimenting with textures and colours in reflecting her experiences and the stories her mother tells her of ‘home.’
