Paul is a proud Bangerang man, artist and Father, who comes from a long ancestry of strong women who expressed themselves through their art. Paul was born in Shepparton, but grew up in the Barmah Cummeragunja land with a strong sense of connection to the land. Spending his youth watching his Nan and Mum make jewellery and paintings. Paul has deep emotional ties to the processes of creating the arts his ancestors did.

Paul started his woodworking arts as a teenager making clapsticks, coolamon bowls, and tables for his family. Paul has said that he uses his art as a medium to connect with his Bangerang culture.

Paul's works involve hand-burned and oiled clapsticks and snakes; he uses sticks that he finds on Yorta Yorta land gathered from the bush
