Ebony is currently coordinating our Yenbenal Yorta Yorta Language Songbook project and assisting with the incorporation of language in other areas of Kaiela Arts.
Ebony was introduced to language work in 2009-10 when working on a language database project for Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation. Since then, she has developed her understanding of Yorta Yorta language and skills in teaching through the array of language work she has done.
Her passion for language revitalisation extends outside the revitalisation of her own language. She has spent time helping others develop skills and strategies to teach and make their own languages accessible for their communities.
Ebony is keen to assist with creating spaces and opportunities for community to develop their own language understanding, learning, and sharing.
