Beads of Culture

Experience the culture of beads as an installation of a dazzling, inspired frenzy of creativity during this exhibition at Kaiela Arts. This exhibition is the outcome of many hours work during many participatory workshops facilitated by local artists and craftspeople, using traditional techniques and materials in a new way.

Beads have been used in all cultures on Earth since time began. Beads have been traded, revered, used as money, worn as jewellery and sewn onto clothing. Beads have been made from pebbles, shells, teeth, claws, clay, glass and many more materials. Beads have been and are still adored by all…. Come and experience Beads of Culture at Kaiela Arts.
